![]() He worked for the Department of Administration, State of Kansas, from 1959-1966 in Topeka, Kansas and for the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas, from 1966 until his retirement in 1992. Leo has been a resident of the State of Kansas since his discharge in 1955. He was a decorated combat veteran of the Korean War, having served four years in the United States Air Force as a gunner/electronic countermeasure crew member on several USAF aircraft. (Beaudet) Langlois, and was a graduate of the High School of Commerce and received his undergraduate degree in business/accounting from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. Leo was born in Gardner, MA, son of the late Ernest J. He was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters, Ernest J. ![]() Bergeron of Kennebunk, ME five grandchildren, Monica Roberts, Jeff Roberts, and Karen Roberts, all of Lawrence, KS, Sarah (Aaron Tatko) Schaake, San Marcos, CA, and Caroline Schaake, Honolulu, HI six great grandchildren, Savannah, Joseph, Michael, Olivia, Aiden, Liam one great-great grandchild, Ellyus. He is survived by two children, Kathy Jeanne Schoenwandt and her husband Steve of Lawrence, KS, and Joleen Marie Schaake of San Marcos, California three sisters, Simone C. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Ramona (Miller) Langlois who died August 5, 2022. Langlois, 93, of Lawrence, Kansas, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2023, at Pioneer Ridge in Lawrence after a long illness.
